Buffy Unmatched
Buffy The Vampire Slayer Unmatched is on sale online and due in stores for November. The miniatures look good generally, although Buffy holding the Scythe like a spear seems like an odd choice.

Hero Forge And Palette
Hero Forge now has colour options, previously available to Kickstarter backers, useful for designing characters and taking pictures as well as for its main purpose of ready-painted custom miniatures. Indeed, it now has a photo booth for taking pictures and making tokens.
It still has the big heads and huge hands and equipment, and no chairs in the Mount section (unlike the smaller ANVL) and as you can see it could do with an open leather jacket that isn’t shredded...
But a lot can be done.
So inevitably I made Buffy, Angel, and Milli from The Watch House.

Preserving the Masquerade
An RPGnet idea jam for a game about the vampires who paper over the cracks.
Because the Masquerade doesn’t take nights off.

Broken Compass
Broken Compass English language Kickstarter is live.
I really don’t need another system to play the kind of game I put into Trinity Continuum, but of course I’m curious.
Hero Rat
Magawa the landmine detecting rat awarded the PDSA Gold Medal for bravery.
Thanks to Jen for the news.

Come Dice With Me
Come Dice With Me, a free party game RPG based on the competitive dinner party game show of a very similar name, from DIE creator Kieron Gillen.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Nobody's Home
A pitch for Vampire: The Masquerade fifth edition this autumn at GEAS. Not a very different pitch from Red Right Hand, as the original intent for an anarch game fell by the wayside.
Vampire: The Masquerade is a game of modern horror, set in a world that looks like our own but where monsters hide in the shadows. Knowledge of the setting and system is not required, the system is straightforward and the setting is full of secrets.
Your characters are new to the night in a city where a new vampire Prince has seized power, leaving the Damned fighting amongst themselves.
The oldest cling to their power, the youngest fight for their survival.
Can the Prince hold the throne? Or can you tear it down?

WandaVision
The first full trailer for MCU miniseries WandaVision looks... perplexing. Wanda and a possibly not entirely dead Vision living in a 50s sitcom? For one thing, as a 90s kid from eastern Europe, would she choose a 50s sitcom? Someone else’s idea maybe...?
Ampers and S
All irregularities will be handled by the forces controlling each dimension. Transuranic heavy elements may not be used where there is life. Medium atomic weights are available: Dungeons, Dragons, Tunnels, Trolls, Villains, Vigilantes, Sense, Sensibility, Chivalry and Sorcery. Dungeons and Dragons have been assigned.

In honour of International Talk Like A Pirate Day, regulate the distribution of plunder fairly. Mate.
Also, bask in the glory of Crap Pirate Flags.

Hmm.
Given the whole “running RPGs by video chat” thing applying to games this semester, I could in theory offer to take in players from looking-for-group posts in relevant groups here. That way I’d definitely get players who know the game... but they’d also have expectations.

Alas, Poor Blogger
Legacy Blogger design is gone. Now, granted, I hardly ever if ever used most of its design features, so it doesn’t impact me much. It still sucks though. Never mind. Carrying on.

Summer gaming
Red Right Hand came to a conclusion of sorts tonight, and this most recent season one of Sounds Like Hell last week, brought forward due to expected player absence so we did the finale instead of the odd MOTW episode.
The breakout NPCs are an emo kid and a spooky dog.

When I was a young boy
my father took me into the city

And then we had ice cream!

Beyond The Wall dialogue
The revived court mage is informed that an ancient monster of darkness is rising. “That all sounds very concerning.”
The teenage thief nods “Yeah, that’s what we thought.”
And OOC: I’ll catch it somewhat nervously because frankly it’s been shooting laser beams.

That TWH spinoff
Following on from this, Matthew and Natalie’s players have been rereading The Watch House and discussing the imagined spinoff where Natalie goes to London to be a lawyer, with Matthew’s ghost haunting her to tragicomic effect...

Sounds Like Hell 1.12
Bumped forward in the production order due to travel next week and GEAS one-shots the week after, so we get the season finale and might miss one of the funny MOTW episodes.

Marvel’s Avengers video game
Marvel’s Avengers video game lets you control various avengers you might know from comics and films, though this is not the comic or film versions. The main character in the single player game is Ms. Marvel, Kamala Khan, which lessens the wonky recognition factor.
They also go all in with a wouldn’t-work-in-MCU-continuity story, like if they did the Inhuman contagion story in a movie instead of across a season of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and bumped off a major character at the start.
Reviews are... keen on the campaign, which is the part that would most interest me.

Angel
Angel will be arriving on E4 and All4 forthwith. I presume there were negotiation-y reasons for not starting alongside Buffy Season Four so the crossovers lined up.

Buster Keaton
Buster Keaton’s first short film, One Week, premiered 100 years ago today, establishing the tendency to have buildings almost fall on him right away.
