The setting sketched in for
John Wick and then foregrounded in the sequels really suggests a
World Of Darkness style setup, but for the first film itself, take
Hell 4 Leather and have the hunter left for dead instead of
actually dead, and using new guns and contacting allies instead of gaining powers as they go.
