Philadelphia, city of brotherly love, is home to over six million people.
Philadelphia, city of broken loyalties, is home to almost a hundred vampires. Most of them bow to the Camarilla, a feudal government where age and bloodline bring unfair reward.
Michael Talbot of Clan Ventrue has proclaimed himself Prince of Philadelphia, taking the place of his sire, Edward Matheson, as supposed ruler of the city’s vampires. Matheson was almost two hundred years old when he disappeared last year, while Talbot is just over a century old, a lawyer Embraced during the Great Depression. He believes that only those who prove themselves valuable are welcome.
Talbot has the support of the Toreador Keeper of Elysium Franklin Danvers and the Sheriff Julia Barrett, both of whom served under his sire, the loyalty of a group of agents, and the studied neutrality of the blood thief network known as the Circulatory System and the religious vampires of the Church of Caine.
Opposing his claim to the throne are the anarchs, mostly young vampires, who have seen one dictator replace another. Their most prominent speaker, Simon Carlyle of Clan Brujah, also died during the Depression but learned very different lessons from it.
Summer has given way to fall, and the nights grow longer again...
