Revisiting Star Wars: The Force Awakens

The Star Wars sequel trilogy reaches network TV this month, over three Saturdays. Watching The Force Awakens for the first time in a couple of years, and with my mother, who had the following to say...

Stormtroopers are as bad as ever.

(Kylo Ren trashes the console)
Temper, temper!

Poor wee robot trying to keep up.

(The Millennium Falcon)
Is that what I think it is?

Where did they find a Scotsman? I know we get everywhere but still. And he’s a baddie? How dare they?

Oh, don’t go opening boxes...

(Kylo captures Rey.)
That can’t be good.

(Leia)
Oh, there she is.

(Yes, that’s Andy Serkis.)
Is it? He’s so good at playing baddies. Shame, he’s really nice in real life.

(Rey uses the Force on Daniel Craig.)
That’s very handy.

(Kylo is unhappy.)
Run!

Less talk, more action. You’ve only got an hour!

(We need a miracle.)
One miracle, coming up.

I think this one has more of a sense of humour. I’m not sure but it seems like it does.

(Kylo tries to draw the sabre.)
No. It won’t come to you.
