Captain Marvel

I came out and bought the first Kelly Sue DeConnick written collection Higher, Further, Faster, More.

I would buy the soundtrack, but I already own most of it. ;)

The Marvel intro will get you in the feels.

The Captain Marvel identity and Carol in particular have both gone through a lot of changes and bizarre sidebars over the decades, which the filmmakers use to their advantage with a few twists and reverses, as well as at least one aimed at comics reader expectations, assisted by a nice bit of casting.

De-aged Fury works pretty much perfectly, not getting in the way of Samuel L. Jackson’s performance. There’s a plasticky moment with de-aged Coulson at one point, though.
