The Falcon And The Winter Soldier: 1: New World Order

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier
1: New World Order

As Empire puts it in its new cover feature, “after the weirdness of WandaVision, regular service is resuming”...

I’ve avoided trailers so I didn’t know about [redacted] or [redacted].

Batroc or Rhodey.

New World Order. Is that title ever a good sign?

Nice to see Torres cheering Sam after that fight. (Torres is from comics, a sidekick of Sam as Cap, though I would be surprised if his comics powers become a thing here.)

And I can see why they frontloaded the partner bickering, as...The Falcon And The Winter Soldier don’t actually meet this episode. (Bucky has been ignoring texts from Sam, one of those unwise things people do.)

I also appreciate Bucky’s haircut, as the floppy Goth boy hair (luxurious and shiny as it was) didn’t make sense for the character and I always wondered if it was there in the comics to make him look less like a young Cable.

Flag Smasher is a pretty goofy character in the comics, basically Cobra Commander for anti-nationalism.

And while making a point about real-world institutions, that guy at the bank really should have said he’d look for some financing options.
