Happy Halloween!

And here... we... go.

1. Since this is my second of these, favourite horror sequel.
The Bride Of Frankenstein

2. Favourite horror reboot.
Buffy. Yes, that counts.

3. Horror film over two hours (because the genre usually runs pretty short)
Interview With The Vampire

4. Horror under half an hour?
The Twilight Zone, The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street

5. Horror music video? (Other than Thriller?)
Fields Of The Nephilim, Preacher Man, directed by Richard Stanley

6: Sci-Fi horror?
Just to be weird and not say Alien, Quatermass And The Pit

7. Period-set horror?
Hammer's Dracula.

8. Very "now" horror using modern tech of the time?
Ringu, updating Casting The Runes for TV and video.

9. Horror comic strip or series?
I was muuuuch too young for 'Judge Death Lives!' in 2000 A.D. - not helped by not getting the issue after the cliffhanger about a hundred thousand people being trapped. And it has the Greatest Panel Ever.

10. Favourite horror toy, out of character?
A Star Wars scale Universal Frankenstein monster - almost painted in black and white!

11. Favourite horror toy, in-character?
"What is your pleasure, sir?"
"The box."

12. Because it's 12, title reference to night or midnight?
Dead Of Night. It's got Night, it's got Dead, and it's got... Of.

13. Because it's 13, slasher film?
Halloween. ;)

14. Horror set in the snow or winter?
The Thing

15. Horror set in the sand, desert, or summer?
Near Dark

16. Horror set on the water?
Only about half of Jaws is on the sea, so... Triangle

17. Horror set in a city?
Candyman

18. Haunted house?
The Haunting (1963)

19. Favourite teen horror?
Not counting Buffy... Final Destination. I love the overcomplicated deaths and the sense of the Grim Reaper amusing itself.

20. Horror about a detective?
Angel Heart, though more for the client than the case.

21. Medical horror?
Outbreak (Not counting Frankenstein as it's pathology ;) )

22. Horror about artwork?
The Mezzotint, by M. R. James. To keep it film and TV, the BBC made a short film version.

23. Horror artwork?
Okay, that's a non-movie question. Oh well. Charles Addams

24. Favourite jump scare?
Exorcist III. If you know it, you know it.

25. "Body falling out of somewhere" scare?
The sunken boat in Jaws.

26. Favourite dream sequence?
An American Werewolf In London. Particularly the double jump. Got me good.

27: Favourite resurrection scene?
Okay, the rest of the film isn't horror, but the skeletons in Jason And The Argonauts.

Oct 28
28. Favourite horror anthology episode?
The Twilight Zone again, Nightmare At 20,000 Feet.

29. Favourite horror-themed snack?
Yes, I came up with the whole list in under an hour, why do you ask? Anyway... Skull Crushers. White chocolate skulls with red gooey filling. I was a weird kid, but clearly I wasn't the only one.

30. Horror recommendation from the year?
You Might Be The Killer

And finally...

31. Favourite Halloween non-horror movie or special?
Buffy, Fear Itself

Thanks for looking in. See you next October!
