Abigail

Abigail is great gory fun, though it takes longer than expected to get to the USP revealed by all the marketing - I like to think I’d have gotten it a bit before the reveal if I’d gone in cold. Much more clearly from the makers of Ready Or Not than Scream 5 and 6.

Because it’s a supernatural horror comedy chasing around a spooky old house complete with a low-level room full of corpses and gorily exploding people.

Continuing liking the run of Universal Monsters spinoff movies we’re getting instead of the DARK UNIVERSE, and I say this as someone who thought The Mummy 2017 had a lot of fun stuff in it. This spin on Dracula’s Daughter goes pretty far from its origin.
