Antha, Ravnos hustler
Isabella, Malkavian academic and seer
Linda, Lasombra newly Embraced divorced store manager
Maebh, Gangrel courier

Antha, Isabella and Maebh are asked to the office of Dr. William Rhodes, “Provost” with domain over London’s universities, at King’s College. They are met by his assistant Smith, a young man who is not well versed in hiding that he knows they’re vampires.

Dr. Rhodes has been asked by an acquaintance, Solomon, to help bring his childe Linda to a meeting with the city’s vampire Queen for formal introductions. He would do it himself but... perhaps this is some kind of test.

Dr. Rhodes

Linda has never had someone react to her with such fear as Smith shows before.

A cab ride to the National Portrait Gallery, open late for a fundraising event for an obscure arts charity called the Clermont Foundation.

When they arrive they are greeted by David, Keeper of Elysium, his role to ensure Kindred can meet safely on neutral ground like this. Linda has a distinct feeling of being watched as they go.

David

He leads them to a side room lined with Tudor era portraits.

Sitting as if on a throne is the Queen, Catherine Bowesley, with two other vampires flanking her, Mother Melise and Celia Lane. Celia reads Solomon’s letter of introduction and passes it to Catherine, who offers Linda a hand, taking a moment to admire her sharp nails.

Mother Melise

Celia Lane

Maebh, already aware that she’s in the domain of vampires far older than her, feels a chill as she notices a portrait of the Queen from four hundred years ago.

A ghastly-looking vampire, Nosferatu spymaster Burke, enters and the Queen requires the room, as three other people follow him.

Burke

Celia suggests introducing Linda to the Rack, a number of clubs and other places where vampires share the right to hunt.

A ride to XX, near the South Bank. Hundreds dancing in the dark, hearts pounding like the bass, a reminder of the need for blood.

Antha introduces the group to Saint, Host of the Rack.

Saint

He takes the introduction in his stride. But he does have a request...

It’s not enough, not enough
