OK, my idea for DELTA GREEN, which someone else could definitely write or homebrew is, in short, DOGE found The Program.
Oversight for the FBI, the military, or a tech company? HELL FUCKING NO. But the Forestry Service, the CDC, foreign agriculture, the EPA? Put it under the microscope.
The Program covers its tracks well, but couldn't built protocols in the 2010s for data tools of the 2020s. The whole gross messy THING isn't revealed, but three DOGE assholes uncover three different ops or cells. These become the Agents' missions.
TECH PRICK #1 connects with a cell that thinks Tr*mp is GREAT. Picture a whole gang of Harvey Keitels from THE BAD LIEUTENANT, except they got transferred into Forestry investigations after... the unpleasantness.
They decide to go on the offensive against [[FILL THIS IN LATER -- ghouls? Dormant Dark Young? K'n-yan? -- some beehive you shouldn't ought to poke with a stick. Can the Agents stop or cover up the actions of this rogue cell?
(If you do this as a homebrew, maybe make the rogue cell agents subtly twisted reflections of the Agents themselves. Players love themes! And self-examination!)
TECH PRICK #2 is wondering why the CDC paid $350,000 for "lab equipment" from an antiquarian book seller in New England. Thrilled by the prospect of being the first DOGE staffer to find actual waste, he digs deeper and finds...
... an old dusty book that's unpleasantly familiar. His granddad had a copy of this! His awful granddad who molested him! His granddad who died before inducing him into the Exalted Circle cult.
So tech prick #2 starts making up for lost time, experimenting with spells from the book and trying to find the Circle so he can join up and get to meet Dagon.
inally, there's TECH PRICK #3, who wants to know why the EPA has been paying the rent on scattered private storage lockers for decades. Can the Agents safely clean out a bunch of Green Boxes before #3 gets them?
