It’s
ten years since Hurricane Katrina hit the US southeast coast, and New Orleans in particular. The city has largely recovered, the touristy centre being spared the worst (as I know from personal experience five years back for The Grand Masquerade 2010 and 2011) but the mix of natural disaster and man-made exacerbation stills leaves scars. The stories of the days after are particularly galling.
