A shocking development...
A philosophical discussion, tie-ins to Rogue One, Attack Of The Clones and a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it background cameo for a background cameo creature from The Force Awakens, a classic Raiders Of The Lost Ark truck chase with some Mad Max references in a truck about as safe as the one in The Wages Of Fear / Sorcerer (and were those pirates pirates?), Din forgetting he isn’t wearing beskar, a crisis of faith (albeit following a rather contrived route to get to the point we’ve been waiting to get to), a political disagreement (with Richard Brake, AKA The Night King and the sheriff from Knights of Cydonia(!) as an Imperial officer sharing a surname with a prominent Nazi), stuff blowing up real good, and then Din throwing Gideon's demands from the end of season one back at him in a much more meaningful way.
