Apart from the series creator, the writers of
Sister Boniface Mysteries seem to have forgotten that she actually has an established reason for the police to call her in and they don’t have to have her on the scene in the pre-credits before the murder.
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries did this pretty often as well.
