27g: TOON
I came into the Challenge with plans for six games and a ????? for the last few entries. And having gotten to the end of January and no plan presenting itself... here goes.
TOON, the RPG of cartoon chaos mostly aimed at Short Subjects like Bugs Bunny or Tom And Jerry though later developments encouraged a series format. 2D6 roll under, and sometimes failing is better (like failing to notice you’ve walked off a cliff).
These days available in a Deluxe Edition that folds in options from the sourcebooks, but let’s go for the original 68 pages of large type including 24 pages of adventures. This is the game that taught me that one rule system doesn’t fit all.
Imagining a crime caper series with different characters starring in different shorts and a possible crossover.
Going with the points system, 14 in Attributes, 30 in Skills and Shticks. And basing Hit Points on Muscle instead of randomising that too.
27g:
Lavinia Lynx
Cat Burglar
World’s Greatest Thief according to herself, her expertise in stealth and conning sometimes let down by her bitey temper.
A dashing lynx, domino mask optional.
“Haha! Lavinia Lynx strikes again!”
