How has gaming changed for me recently?
Even before playing and GMing by video chat, having a tablet that I could bring to sessions and go online with has affected how I prep. It’s easy to find images for characters, locations, maps and the like, to look up rules on a PDF of the rulebook, to play sound (which I still don’t generally do as I’m bringing a tablet to a public space for play) and more.
In a Buffy session last year I used an animated GIF to illustrate a moment as it made the point better than the still image would have.

The tricky bit is not getting lost as the internet is The World’s Most Distracting Thing.
